Mobility and Tax Compliance Officer to Realize International Ambitions

Then you might be the one we are looking for to take up the challenging and personal rewarding role as Mobility and Tax Compliance Officer supporting NIRAS´ international ambitions.

We offer

You will be part of our Finance Team with reference to the Vice President of the area. You will be working closely with colleagues from other departments in the head office (e.g. HR, Legal), just as you will be delivering your contribution through collaboration with external advisors and experts within audit and legal.
The position is located in Allerød where you will be the company´s focal point for matters pertaining to compliance within company law, VAT, tax, employment law and insurance in relations to employee mobility cases. You will be involved in tenders and sales processes where your input on VAT and tax implications is crucial to assessing feasibility of projects. You can expect to be used as advisor on complex cases involving also business integrity and CSR perspectives, and your advice also involves assessments of legal and financial aspects of compliance.

You will be part of an ambitious engineering company with some 2,300 employees working in multiple locations across Denmark and internationally. You will have the authorization to implement global rules & processes ensuring global compliance just as you will be the personal warrant for keeping internal rules and processes up-to date, value-adding and business-supporting.

Your main responsibilities will be

  • to ensure that NIRAS is compliant with local laws on tax and VAT
  • ensure that Standards of Conduct and policies are followed
  • take the lead on issues resolution on compliance matters
  • develop and implement the organizational awareness of compliance aspects of doing business internationally (e.g. through induction of new employees, training of existing work force etc.)
  • responsible for global compliance in NIRAS Group and subsidiaries on Legal and Mobility issues incl. tax and VAT issues at both corporate, project and employee level
  • act as hands-on resource in all compliance issues throughout the organization

About you

We imagine that you have solid work experience from a similar position in an internationally operating company preferably with activities in developing countries. Your academic background is probably within legal or business administration at master´s level but more important is your ability to design and deliver solid solutions to business driven challenges. You master Danish and English at a high professional level, and if you have proficiency in other languages (French, Spanish or Portuguese) it would be an advantage but is not a requirement.

As a person you are a team player and able to influence at all organizational levels and stand out as a well-reputed and trusted authority on your field of expertise. With the international exposure in mind we expect that you are culturally aware and capable of working internationally without problems. Travel activity with short notice is to be expected.

Practical information
